Last September 4th, the Secretary of State for R&D&I, Carmen Vela, chaired a meeting of the Spain-India joint commission to discuss science, technology, and innovation. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness and the Indian delegation was led by the Indian ambassador to Spain, Mr. B. Venkatesh Varma.

Following the signing of the Declaration signed by Mariano Rajoy, President of the Government, and Prime Minister Norendra Modi, on May of 31st to promote collaborations between the two countries in matters of science, technology, and innovation to cooperate in the development of areas such as renewable energy and nanotechnology.

In the coming weeks, a roadmap will be drawn up to establish concrete actions and provide the necessary instruments for this collaboration.

From NIBUG we have been working with ICEX for some time now to collaborate with Indian companies to develop the HBS project, an innovative system for building hospitals anywhere in the world and ready to use.
