The fourth edition of European BIM Summit (EBS18) has a date. EBS18 will take place from 8 to 9 March 2018 at AXA Auditorium, settle in Illa Diagonal at Barcelona, a business and commercial center (Av. Diagonal, 547) with the aim of keeping on the reference event in BIM of Europe.
EBS18 will join experts from 12 countries with a new format and the incorporation of high-level studies cases. Also, it’s highlighting the incorporation of Patrick MacLeamy as Honor Advisor, one of the most leading personalities around the world in BIM sector.
During the previous editions, EBS invited different countries in order to analyze the adoption of BIM. In this new edition, EBS18 will join German spoken countries that buildingSMART ties Germany with Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein to analyze the process and the success of BIM adoption.
The event has a previous conference. Three days dedicated to BIM and with different challenges:
- 7th March: an open and public event in order to create new business and new techniques around the digitalization of the construction opportunities. A day focused on the future construction agents. The higher technical certificates and university students that in the future will be the force of construction industry.
- 8th March: A day dedicated to BIM applications that currently have taken part in Europe and in the world. This day called BIM Present will be the occasion also to present the new innovations and how affects this new work methodology based in information management and data generated during all building life, it means, since the project to the future maintenance and rehabilitation.
- 9th March: Last day called BIM Future will be focused on present conferences of expertizes and pioneers of BIM, that as leading personalities, in order to show us different international initiatives that he got as an economic phenomenon to the service and products that it never would be possible without BIM.
At the end, EBS18 will present robotics evolution that nowadays is implemented using data created during the project.
In the previous edition, EBS joined 64 speakers and every available ticket was sold out to 550 attendees. For these reasons, EBS18 has looked for a new place with more volume.
