Last Friday, September 15th, the Association of Civil Engineers (AICCP) organized with ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) a Technical Conference on the BIM method at the Institute of Engineering of Spain, in Madrid.
Ignasi Pérez Arnal, NIBUG‘s development coordinator and partner and founder of BIM Academy, was present at the technical conference. The event had the opportunity to discuss BIM with national and British experts. A visit to the control center of Madrid Calle 30 was also enjoyed and the cooperation agreement with the Institution of Civil Engineers was renewed.The day ended with a gala dinner in the ABC Serrano halls to sign a memorandum of understanding between the presidents of the associations.
BIM is a revolution in building and infrastructure production and management. This new methodology allows us to build in a more efficient way and, at the same time, reduce time costs. The methodology promotes collaborative work between the different agents involved: designers, builders, industrialists, etc.
